0Nach 362 Tagen des Wartens ist es endlich wieder soweit; nachdem man sich die letzten elf Monate damit zufrieden geben musste über alte Filme zu sprechen, jede Pressemitteilung zur Berlinale sehnlich zu erwarten und gefühlt täglich die verbleibenden Tage zu zählen, wurden endlich die magischen Worte gesprochen und die 41. Generation der 68. Berlinale eröffnet.
Für mich war es dieses Jahr sogar noch etwas besonderer als sonst, da ich erst am Freitagmorgen aus Trondheim in Berlin angekommen bin und die letzten Wochen in meinem FSJ so viel zu tun hatte, dass ich mich nur sporadisch auf die Berlinale einstellen und die Vorbereitung der Stadt natürlich auch nicht mitbekommen habe. Dafür waren dann alle Gefühle auf einmal wieder da, als ich am Vormittag mit Johanna zum Potsdamer Platz gefahren bin, um Pressetickets abzuholen - dieser wunderbare Flair, der in der Luft liegt, weil alle für eine gemeinsame Herzensangelegenheit am Platz sind und man das Berlinale-Fieber mit so vielen teilen kann.
Dann ging es auch endlich ins HKW und zu der K-Plus Eröffnung - “Den utrolige historie om den kæmpestore pære“ - eine leichte und lustige Geschichte über Mut, Abenteuer und wahre Freundschaft. Und endlich wieder vor der Vorstellung das laute Gemurmel in der Warteschlange zu hören, wieder im Saal zu sitzen und das erste Mal im Jahr den Berlinaletrailer zu sehen, das alles gibt einem so viel Vorfreude auf die kommenden Tage.
Endlich sind die wohl stressigsten und vollbepacktesten, aber die besten zehn Tage des Jahres gekommen. Auf eine ganz tolle Berlinale-Woche mit spannenden, mitreißenden und anregenden Filmen, die uns hoffentlich viele neue Einblicke geben werden!

After 362 days of waiting, finally it is the time of the year; after the last eleven months where we just could talk about old films, eagerly waited for every press release on the Berlinale and counted the remaining days way too often, the magic words were finally spoken and the 41st generation of the 68th Berlinale is opened.
For me it was even more special this year than usual, because I just arrived from Trondheim in Berlin on Friday morning and had so much to do in Norway the last few weeks that I didn't find time to realise the Berlinale was nearly there and couldn't see the preparation of the city. But therefor all the feelings were back at once when I drove to Potsdamer Platz with Johanna in the morning to pick up press tickets - this wonderful flair that is in the air, because everyone is just here for the Berlinale and you can share the feelings with so many people.
Then we finally went to the HKW and the K-Plus opening - "The utrolige historie om den kæmpestore pære" - an easy and funny story about courage, adventure and true friendship. And to finally hear the loud murmur in the queue again before the performance, to sit in the HKW cinema hall and see the Berlinale trailer for the first time in the year, all this gives you so much delight for the coming days.
Finally the maybe most stressful and packed, but definitely the best ten days of the year have arrived. Hope we all will have great Berlinale week with exciting, stirring and inspiring films which hopefully will give us a lot of new insights!
